Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old and grew up within Orange County. She graduated in the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was when she also got her breakthrough in acting. Pernas started her acting career with small parts on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the role Marisa. The actress, who quit this soap at the end of 2016 landed the role as Catalina who is a regular character on Jane the Virgin. The model who has four languages abilities has starred as Hannah Rivera on The Brave since 2016, The Green Ghost in 2017 as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, Pernas portrayed Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly reported in May 2020, that Pernas was in a relationship with Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. The relationship began following The This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November of this year. Then, in May 2021 news was reported that Pernas Hartley had recently married in private.
