Comaneci serves as an executive board member of the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. In the years since, she remains a patron of dozens more charities within her home country of Romania. These include her involvement with the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
