Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to the family of South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. She grew in a South London council estate, and when she was 14, attended The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received the BA in acting. At the academy and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her career as an actor through the film Storm Damage. In the years since, Madekwe has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After that her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. The year 2008 saw her landed the role in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe also starred as the lead character in How to lose friends & betray people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport on ABC's show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast to play Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that she would depart the series following her appearance on the first episode of the third season. From 2014 to 2016she appeared in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty as well as four older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's four brothers, each of them extremely physically active, were all playing hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer months, which means she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley never actually walked -she was a dancer, and when she was 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip-hop. In addition, she won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
