Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. Over 20 albums have been released by her. Her music is classified as folk-rock and alternative rock although it also has influences from punk funk hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as a feminist icon, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the pioneer in DIY music.
