Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens, March 18, 1970 in Newark. The second child of Lance and Rita Owens, Latifah is most well-known for her work in political activism, acting abilities and talent for rhyme. A Muslim cousin gave Latifah the name "delicate, sensitive" when she was just eight years old. Latifah sang in the choir of the Shiloh Baptist church located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She had her first public performance singing "Home" as one of two Dorothys in a musical production of The Wizard of Oz. Latifah's mother was a catalyst; she was in touch with the students and the music. Mark James, a local disc jockey, also known as D.J., was invited to the event.
